Daniel Shillinglaw is an emerging director, cinematographer, and colorist based in New York. He is a recent graduate of the Film Conservatory at Purchase College, collaborating often with other directors in a variety of roles.
His work has won Best Cinematography awards at both the Astoria Film Festival (2025) and Art of Brooklyn Film Festival (2025).
Visual storytelling is central in his approach. Rich atmosphere, bold textures, and vivid colors drive his images. His editing is stylized but patient, striving to create a clear sense of mood and place.
